Debbie Reid will talk about the use of natural enemies, such as beneficial insects, to control insect pests. She will introduce us to these local beneficial natural enemies and explain how to attract them by creating habitats and utilizing native plants.
Our speaker, Debbie Reid, was a Naturalist at Friedrich Park where she was one of the handful of folks who conceived and implemented the Master Naturalist program. Debbie was then the first City Arborist for San Antonio and instrumental in SA's adoption of its first tree-protection ordinance. Debbie recently returned from a Peace Corps assignment in Mexico working to improve forestry practices in Mexico.
