What most excites you about permaculture?

Permaculture excites me because its a way to grow your food while repairing and improving the land around you. I grew up in boy scouts and one of the things that really stuck was leave the place better then you found it. I think permaculture really reflects that feeling. The way the permaculture principles seem to make their way into all facets of life are very interesting to me as well..

Have you worked on any permaculture projects before?

No, but planting some wicking barrels soon and possible getting some small permaculture projects started in New Orleans.

What books or movies on permaculture have you read or watched?

Currently reading: Gaia's Garden, and some of Joel Salatin's books. I'm taking a free permaculture design course. I've also watched as many youtube videos as I could find on the subject and always looking for more.

I'm currently a software developer in New Orleans, but was born and raised in SATX and headed back to start a small farm while continuing my career as a developer for now.
