I have great news! I've just reacquired a very rare permaculture documentary with Josh Byrne appearing on "Gardening Australia". In 2004, Josh Byrne set up a permaculture garden in his suburban backyard in Perth and film it. This documentary was filmed over a years span and demonstrates how to establish a home-scale permaculture site from beginning to end.
This is one of my favorite permaculture movies. I've watched and shown it many times. I've been meaning to show it in S.A. But, if you all remember, my laptop recently crashed and I've had all kinds of problems with everything electronic.
Well, Nova, who is not a member of our meetup, but has graciously loaned me her laptop while she travels Europe and Morocco. (What a great traveler. She says it'll be a burden.) You may remember her and her dad Tom from our visit to the Sancuario Sisterfarm. Let's give it up for Nova! Yea!
Now all we need is an LCD projector. If someone can borrow a projector, then, we can have the presentation at Candle Light Coffeehouse. If not, I have a hookup with SA Libraries and we can have the screening there. Let me know soon, so I can schedule it. I'm very excited to introduce you to this documentary.
Permaculture is a system for designing human habitats which emulate the diversity and stability of natural ecosystems, providing the material and non-material needs of humans and all other living creatures.
The purpose of this group is to encourage the practice and spread of permaculture in our lives.
