Network with other local climbers, Meetup with those who appreciate The Great Outdoors, & keep up with all the great climbing spots. We love to climb & meet positive people with the same interests. To find reliable, willing & dedicated people to climb with.
Members of this group are willing to help any novice climbers. Beginners, singles, couples and groups are welcome, everyone is welcome!
We are primarily a group of Outdoor Rock Climbers who share a passion for the outdoors and all it offers. We are dedicated to expanding our knowledge of the sport of rock climbing and encouraging those interested in becoming proficient outdoor climbers. The emphasis is on climbing safely and skill development as well as affording the opportunity to meet new climbing partners and climb new areas. We ask that you respect the seasonal closures that the CNF imposes on all of us as climbers and hikers. Your cooperation is paramount. What you do out on the rock is reflective of all climbers here in San Diego. Access issues are important and we encourage your participation in joining Allied Climbers of San Diego, www.alliedclimbers.org . Please, donate to this site to keep it up and running and to build our coffers to support access issues, give aways and events. If you desire to learn and grow in a fun and encouraging atmosphere, please join, be an active member and share your thoughts desires and knowledge.
Please, give ideas!
If you are unable to participate in the group and become or are inactive for a period of time we have to assume that you are not really interested in participting and will remove you as a member, that way you do not receive a bunch of useless e-mails. We do understand life sometimes pitches us a curve ball in which case feel free to rejoin when you are more able to participate, we would love to have you back on board.
If you are not at least 18 years old we cannot let you join and participate in any Meetups that we have scheduled. Rock climbing is a dangerous activity and in the eyes of the law you do not have the capacity to understand the 'Assumption of Risk' involved in this activity. Everyone is responsible for themselves and we can not assume any liability for the decisions that you make. Understand, Rock-Climbing is dangerous! Do not join thinking we are responsible for your safety! All we can do is show you how to be safe from what we have learned!
