As some of you already know, we are in the process of merging a few meetup groups into one. Now we have not only the beach bonfire jams, but backyard jams, blues jams, discussion groups, lessons, shows.. just about anything we want.  That way you can look at one calendar to pick and choose the events you want to go to without having to flip around to other sites.

Hosting Events

In fact, we're looking for people to host any and all events you think would be interesting. If anyone has a acoustic music-related idea for a group they'd like to try out, just let me know (I'll have a short list of housekeeping things I would ask of any meeting host, but the substance of the group is yours). I'll schedule it on the calendar, and off you go.

Once I designate you as the event host, it's your baby. Feel like getting together with other mandolin players? Want to host a jam in your own local park or beach sometime? Have some techniques you'd like to swap with other fingerstyle guitarists? No problem. We'll set it up, provide the members, and you can run it. It can be a regular event or a one-time deal, as you like.

The great thing about hosting your own event, of course, is that it can be exactly the type of group you want and you can have it at the day, time, and place most convenient for you.  Sweet!

We're especially looking for people who would host a drum circle

and people willing to give any type of group lessons.

If you know of any other events, shows, etc. going on around town, as long as it's related to acoustic music, let me know so I can put it on the calendar.  That includes any upcoming gigs you have-- there's nothing wrong with shameless self-promotion.



















The Bottom Line

Keep checking the calendar. We've got lots of stuff on there, and there's more stuff being added and in the works all the time.    We're still at the beginning of this process, so there are some kinks to iron out, but it's already been fun and only getting better.
