Android/Arduino/Amarino projects

For a school project I'm creating an Android app that interacts with an Arduino-based device via a bluetooth module. I started using Amarino for help connecting to the bluetooth module. If anyone has experience on this I would like to exchange notes - right now my main concern is with the bluetooth module itself. I have a SparkFun bluetooth module and I thought I could connect it without using solder, but this is not going well. I'm about to solder some headers onto the module but I'm kind of nervous since the contacts are very small and close together. Can anyone give any tips?
