“ART NIGHTS DOWNTOWN” - Non Hosted Event - 3 LOCATIONS

Please Note: This is a Non-Hosted Event which means there won't be a Meetup Organizer (i.e. Jill :)) to meet you all. I'm posting this for info purposes so you can go if  you like.

Alexander Salazar Fine Art presents “Art Nights Downtown,” three pop-up art installations hosted by Spike Africa’s Fresh Fish & Grill, Saltbox Restaurant, and RA Sushi San Diego.

RA Sushi San Diego, 474 Broadway Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101
Saltbox Restaurant,[masked]th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101
Spike Africa’s, 411 Broadway Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101

Art Nights Downtown is a pop-up gallery art crawl that will take place at three San Diego restaurants and will feature the artwork of three different local artists who are represented by Alexander Salazar Fine Art.

Saltbox Restaurant will highlight the work of Erik Skoldberg, a native San Diegan whose contemporary paintings portray movement and passion, and explore vivid color combinations. At Spike Africa’s, guests are invited to view pieces by Jarod Farver, a painter who draws inspiration from nature, family, and childhood to produce abstract art that is textured, progressive, and meaningful. The illustrations of Richard Reyes will be displayed at RA Sushi. A master of graphite, Reyes’ drawings are clean and concise, with hints of a dark side.

Each artist will be on site at his designated venue, and attendees are encouraged to meet the artists, ask questions, and get to know the distinct bodies of work.

Hosted bites from each of the restaurants will be available, as well as drink specials. Upon arrival, guests can pick up their Art Nights Downtown passport from any one of the locations, so they can decide when and where to start the crawl. The venues are all within walking distance of one another, so participants can move leisurely from one place to the next. When complete, return the stamped passport to Alexander Salazar Fine Art on Broadway Avenue and enjoy a complimentary toast!

Venues were cramped with the exception of the Saltbox. But there was no one to speak with at the show at the Saltbox.

I really enjoyed the Salalzar Gallery tour at the end. The young woman there was a delight and I was impressed with the artwork on display. Redondo pieces and the larger gallery make it worth a special visit - 640 Broadway. Thank you.
