Founded in 1996, the San Diego Association for Rational Inquiry (SDARI) serves the greater San Diego region by advocating critical thinking in our over-hyped, data-deficient world. Join us for monthly discussion and lecture groups on the 4th Sunday at the Joyce Beers Community Center in Hillcrest. We also do occasional social activities and are members of the San Diego Coalition of Reason.
We endeavor to encourage rational and scientific thinking by:
a) Serving as informational resource about paranormal and other extraordinary claims
b) Exploring paranormal and pseudoscientific claims responsibly and from a scientific point of view
c) Advocating and demonstrating the use of scientific inquiry in any activity as an alternative to science
d) Rationally examining paranormal and fringe-science claims; disseminating factual information about such claims and encouraging scientific and critical thinking regarding them.
