As astrologers, it is our job to interpret the planets, but how often do we get to BE the planets – to feel their energies in the signs and houses of someone’s chart, or to see our own astrological placements played out in living dramatic portrayal.
The planets exist “out there” in the skies, millions of miles away but we see their work down here in our charts and the charts of our clients. However, until we encounter them intimately, they can feel like alien agents affecting us but not revealing much about themselves. Unless we are willing to adventure out into our neighborhood as explorers and discoverers, we will never know the deeper treasures they hold.
Every advance in knowledge in the history of humanity has required a journey away from the safety of our known environment and into the fertile grounds of the unknown. Jewels are only found by digging or by looking in a new way. Consider this your invitation to dig deeper, see with new eyes, and explore a rich new level of astrological phenomenon.
Come join Jim Hennum as he takes us “out there” where the planets are and helps us ride them back into a human chart. Based on the ground-breaking work of European innovator Bert Hellinger, Jim’s work allows you to step into the chart, wear the mantle of the planet for a time, feel its energy as it interacts with the other planets and in the process, help bring a new balance to the chart.
Volunteers will be asked to “step into” the experience seat of the planets in various charts. Once you experience the method, it is a short step to incorporate it into any chart you work with. Jim will offer simple ideas and methods for taking that short step.
Jim Hennum is the current President of the San Diego Astrological Society. He began his studies in the late ’80s and attended his first SDAS meeting in 1992, joining the board a year later as Publicity Director. A private practice later bloomed and he joined forces briefly with the Cadent Cross Institute (later the California Institute for Open Studies) as board member and instructor.
Jim lives in San Diego and works in marketing and graphic design when he isn’t wearing his astrologer’s wizard hat!
