SDAS Holiday Solstice Party

 7:30 pm

Joyce Beers Community Center

3900 Vermont Street San Diego, CA 92103

Come join us at the annual SDAS holiday and winter solstice party featuring good food, good people, and good times. The winter solstice is the time when the dying light is reborn, so it is also a time for deep reflection and joyous optimism. We will have a short program that provides both an historical representation of this as well as an opportunity to allow members and guests to privately and quietly reflect on the past year and to set intentions for the coming new year.

Menu-wise we’re sticking to our old SDAS traditional favorite, lasagna, garlic bread, Aladdin’s Greek salad and an array of highly tempting desserts. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we will have some alternatives for you and invite you to enlarge this selection by bringing your own gluten free or vegan dish.

Please let us know if you plan to do so by e-mailing [masked]

We are asking members to bring their favorite divination tool such as cards, stones, pendulum, or what ever works for you so we can have some interactive divination at the tables. (Please leave any entrails at home.)

This event is free to SDAS members in good standing and each member will also receive a copy of the “Maynard Pocket Astrologer 2013. Members are invited to bring guests and need to know that here is a $10 fee for each guest

Best Solstice party ever! I liked getting my trading a StarCaster reading for a Tarot reading. I'll for sure be there next year. It was great connecting to memberss I hadn't seen in a while.

Did you know the Winter Solstice, astronomically marks the beginning of shortening nights and lengthening days.

Is the transiting Sun daily motion different than it is on June 21?
