Introduction
I live in the North County and am starved for beading friends. Looking forward to meeting you all.
To date, what is your favorite piece that you have made? Please describe
"Edinbane" is a beaded pouch necklace that holds a porcelain button that I got from the Edinbane Pottery Factory on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. The colours are of heather and creamy seafoam, and I put tiny purple freshwater pearls on the fringe.
Have you ever sold or considered selling one or more of your creations?
Have sold since early 1990s. Just closed my business last year, though, and now I can bead just for FUN!
What are your favorite types of beads to work with? (i.e.: small, large, crystals, gemstones, glass, natural, etc)
I love seed beads the most. Delicas make me swoon, and I am addicted to tiny 15s, too.
What type of beading is your favorite? (i.e.: stringing, wire work, seed beads, loomwork, etc)
Beadweaving: peyote, brick and square stitch.
When did you first start beading?
Grade school, during summer vacations in northern MN near Indian reservations. First purchase, a loom and a hank of purple opaque seed beads. Hooked ever since...
