Recently Belly Dance has become a fun and interesting way to get in shape. It requires the body to learn how to control smaller groups of muscles and results in a toned body with greater coordination. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Meleah has been teaching and performing for over 15 years. She teaches workshops worldwide and loves to see students develop their “inner dancer”. Meleah’s students learn how to express themselves and how to show their personalities. She shows effective techniques for adding flair and drama to the dance. I had never taken any sort of dance before, and I had a blast! Meleah is a wonderful teacher and all of the other students were very friendly.

    Hi elise
Good question, I'd say start with beginner because every teacher is different and you can get used to my style of teaching. We are working on a small choreography for a Faire coming up in July so you will enjoy that. room 107. I look forward to meeting you!

What's the difference in moves and teaching style between the Beginner's and Intermediate classes? I've had belly dance training on an off for around 8 years and was wondering if Beginner's would be a good brush up class, or if it would perhaps be too easy and I should just dive into Intermediate?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
