Wow...what a great idea! I am up for it, but I have a couple of
suggestions. I have been a part of a book club before, and it
seemed to be most successful, when we took longer to read a
book. I know we are all busy, and have other activities as well.
Since we meet once a week already, I think reading 12 books
a year is way too much, especially since I personally read other
books for my enjoyment. My last book club met once a week,
but the ladies read approximately 3 chapters a week, depending
on how long the chapters were. This enables us to discuss the
book in smaller segments, and sets our group up for success!
I also agree that fiction, and fun would fit our group very nicely.
Thanks for reading my ideas...Hugs, Bekah

Subject: [San-Diego-Central-Knitters] RAL-Suggestion
At today's knitting group it was suggested to do a read-a-long. I would love this! I've missed book discussions! I'm thinking a month to allow people to read/listen to a book and then we can discuss it during one of our Saturday meetups. Please message book suggestions which we can then vote on. I think fiction is preferred. I'm looking forward to the suggestions!
