35 or 70 mile flat coastal ride from Encinitas to San Clemente

Meet up at the Encinitas train station and ride up to San Clemente. For those who want to stop at 35 miles you can ride the train back, or stay with the group and ride back to Encinitas to make it 70 miles. Route is all coastal and flat. The following map is one way view, we will be returning the same way.

Just a reminder: don't forget to bring your driver's license/id so you can get on base.

I would like to check out riding with the group. I will probably go to Oceanside and then return on my own.

Holly, per the map, will this ride go up I5, or via Stuart Mesa and old 101? I see you detail says through Pendleton, but I want to make sure.

Sorry about that-- The ride will go through the base to Las Pulgas. I rechecked the map and your absolutely right. We will not ride any part of the 5. I'll repost a link in a few min.

Thanks Frank for bringing it to my attention. I just posted a new link, it should be correct.

I hope to see you out this weekend.

I know, Johnny. Just havin a lil fun. Yes, the A-ride does the Swami's route but they start out relatively fast down the coast, and I think we would rather be behind them than in front of them. If we leave 5 minutes after they leave they'll have the road to themselves and we can go at our casual pace.

We make it as fast or slow as we want. We/I'll open it up for a minute but I always regroup. Does the A group out of ride do the old swamis route?
