Some of our group members have expressed interest in training for and completing a century so we're going to post some upcoming races/rides on our group site. The first is the GranFondo San Diego. The website for this race is at: http://www.sdgranfondo.com/

Our classic 108 mile GranFondo Route which includes the
“Great Western Loop” a favorite back country route of San Diego riders. The ride boasts 5000 ft of climbing including the Honey Springs Climb, a loop through the US Olympic Training center Critierm route and 6 well stocked aid to keep you fueled.
The Medio Fondo Route will stretch from the sea to the San Diego Backcountry and Otay Lakes. This ride includes a loop through the US Olympic Training center Critierium course and 4 well stocked aid stations.
New for this year the 38 mile Piccolo Fondo route will be great for riders that really want to participate in the Gran Fondo experience but aren’t ready for the longer routes. With only a 900 feet altitude gain it is almost flat to rolling course with 2 aid stations for support.
Included in the Event:
Road closed 8 miles through town
Well stocked and staffed rest stops
Post ride pasta party
Post ride massage
SAG & mechanical support along the route
Free beer with charitable donation
Hope some of our group can participate!
