This will be an beginner level class best suited for those that are considering brewing as a hobby or as a career choice. Come learn the basics of brewing, and how to brew your own beer at home. Whether you are just interested in learning more about your favorite malted beverage, or are considering jumping into this wonderfully rewarding hobby, then this Meetup will be perfect for you.
We will cover terminology and equipment associated with Extract brewing or partial-grain brewing.
The class will start at 5:00PM, we will begin by talking the basics of home brewing and ingredients. There might even be some sample local beers so we can discuss the finer points of beer tasting.
George has just opened up The Homebrewer, a place to buy all of your brewing supplies and offers a range of classes from Intro Brewing to classes on specialized types of brewing. Whether you are brand new or experienced, George has the extra experience you are looking for. George is a 10-year homebrewer with countless batches, good and bad. He has the knowledge to know the correct way to brew and the incorrect way (no shortcuts).
This class will be very small so it will be very intimate and questions would be welcomed from anyone attending. There are no stupid questions in this class, trust me, George will answer ANY questions you have regarding brewing. You might be surprised by the answers.
I will be posting all of the Homebrewer's classes on the SDCBS meetup page, so check frequently.
