February Cask Night has arrived! Rough Draft, a fairly new brewery in San Diego, is our guest tonight and they are bringing the hops. The beer this night will be Hop Therapy brewed with Simcoe hops. It is a Double IPA, so it is not for the faint or heart. The Coaster will be selling the Ale for $4.00 a pint.

Here are the details of Hop Therapy:
An intensely hoppy, very strong pale ale without the big maltiness and/or deeper malt flavors of an American barleywine. Strongly hopped, but clean, lacking harshness, and a tribute to historical IPAs. Drinkability is an important characteristic; not a heavy, sipping beer.
ALC. BY VOL. 9.0%
What does Simcoe add to the beer?
Simcoe is a bittering/Aroma type cultivar bred by Yakima Chief Ranches first released in 2000. Simcoe is a unique American hybrid. Although it is primarily a bittering hop, it’s clean, pine-like aroma and a taste with a slight hint of citrus.
Anyone that has been to the Coaster before knows that they have a fairly good selection of craft beer from all over the place. Darren has just installed a new 20 tap system in addition to the 40 tap system that is already there. That gives you over 50 possible options for beer. As always, the Coaster has plenty of good food (some with beer ingredients) that will help with the soaking of the good beer you will be drinking. Come out, mingle, and have lots of fun with other craft brew lovers.
This will be at the Coaster Saloon in the Patio area. Bring a jacket or warm clothes, the beach can get a little cold at night. Especially right now in San Diego. Parking is across the street at the Belmont Park parking lot. See you all there!
