What do you use data analysis tools for?

I am doing some analysis of public hospital statistics for a consulting group. I am also taking several courses in Data Science.

What statistical/data analysis tools do you use?

I use BeautifulSoup to scrape the data, pandas to filter for relevant information, and IPython to format the output into a report. My coursework is usually developed in RStudio, but I have used the Weka package.

Introduction

I just moved to Encinitas in July, and our first baby was born in March. I have been taking MOOCs, studying Data Science. I have experience with R and Python, as well as Hadoop and Julia. I have a BS in CS w/minor in Math from CMU.
