Love to write? Of course you do. Like to perform? That's a rhetorical question. Want to share your stories with other writers? Why am I even asking? Dime Stories are 3-minutes stories (prose, not poetry) read by the author. They’re funny. They’re heart-rending. Fictional or factual, they’re always true. Bring your Dime Story to read to a live audience at any of our open mics. Beware: Three-minute rule (that’s about 500 words) is strictly enforced. Since before 3-Minute Fiction on NPR, Dime Story open mic events have been taking place around the country where DimeStories are recorded. Some have been optioned for podcasts and public radio. DimeStories have been heard on several radio outlets: KUOW 94.9 Public Radio Puget Sound; Remix Radio; KUT in Austin, Texas; and WTIP in Minnesota.
