Engine Summit 3 group meetup now officially live!

This is an all day online ExpressionEngine focused event. Individual tickets cost $180 though, we are getting a discount by buying the group ticket which runs $480 per group. That's a savings of over $100 per person!

More details can be found here on the Summit:

http://environmentsforhumans.com/2011/engine-summit/

We now have a new location!

PBS SoCal has invited the group to their studio in Costa Mesa for Engine Summit 3.

Jasmine the Senior Manager of Interactive and one of our newest member (as of writing) will now be our host.

The team up there would like to meet more members of the EE community as they are going to be building their site using our favorite CMS. With that said they have offered their large conference room with wifi and big screens.

They will be providing coffee and pastries in the morning and pizza and drinks for lunch.

Our group plus their group should make for a decent turn out though, not all of them will be listed in the "I'm Going" so please know there will be more than meets the eye.

Space is limited so RSVP ASAP.

Also, Kevin has graciously stepped up and then down from his offer to host the meetup at his place so be sure to thank him too when you see him.

Notes on location:

"Our studio in Costa Mesa is located near South Coast Plaza and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Parking is located in the rear and can be accessed from Hotel Way between our office and the Hilton next door." and "ring the doorbell on the 4th floor"

Fee now set to $60 (this may go down and which case I will offer refunds minus paypal fee) Note: Your money goes directly to the payment of Engine Summit 3 group ticket which costs $480.

I will be bringing some swag...black ExpressionEngine t-shirts for everyone! (as long as I get got the approval from @EllisLab) so I will need your sizes s-m-l-xl-xxl and type (Male or Female.)

Jasmine may have more goodies for us as well.

Besides our PBS SoCal host http://www.pbssocal.org we now have add-ons up for grabs which we will raffle off at the event. Look out for more coming soon:

Fantastic meetup. Had a great time, learned a few things, met some great new people. Props to Nathan and Kevin for putting this on.

While the Engine Summit conference was a bit lack luster, I had a great time with the group that showed up for the first San Diego ExpressionEngine meetup. Nate did a great job putting together an enjoyable event on such short notice.

Great to meet some expression engine pros outside of LA. Aside from a few presentation connection issues the engine summit delivered. The live video chats were awesome except for chat questions needing throttling.

I really had a great time! Besides a few video glitches everything was good. The speakers were all informative.

I really wish I could have made it, my boss is out sick so I can't get permission for this one. Enjoy!

I'm even more bummed now that I can't make this. Sounds like it's shaping up to be an awesome first event. Hope to meet you all at the next meetup.
