Hi Feminists,

Thanks for some scintillating discussion last night. Here?s a list of some of the events we have coming up:

First week in July: meeting Patricia Volonakis Davis to discuss ?Harlot?s Sauce: A Memoir of Food, Family, Love Loss and Greece.? The final date and time will be mailed out shortly. IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS FOR A LOCATION, NOW IS THE TIME TO MENTION THEM!

July 21st: Discussion of ?Lessons from the Fat-o-sphere? by Kate Harding:

ALSO on July 21st : we are trying to have Mara Altman, author of ?Thanks for Coming: One Young Woman?s Quest for an Orgasm?, attend our July meeting. If she agrees, then we would have a reading and signing at 6 PM on July 21st, then begin our regular book discussion later the same day? probably closer to 7:30 or 7:45. Because the Rubber Rose closes, we will need to have our book club move to a different venue. Suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Mara is in India this week, but when she gets back she will let me know if she can extend her trip for this special book reading.

August 18th: Discussion of ?This Common Secret: My Journey as an Abortion Doctor? by Susan Wicklund and Alan Kesselheim

In other news, we are very close to having our much-discussed movie night, so throw out any ideas you might have about good movies to watch. We discussed ?GI Jane? ? a fabulous movie if I do say so ? but let?s hear some other suggestions? We can vote next meeting.
