Sorry you didn't make it to the performance, Lou. We all missed you not being there. Dan told me about the problems you had in the rain etc. Hope to see you and all the gang again soon. “ This is a wonderful organization. BIG kudo's to the individuals who really keep it going (hosting and managing), as well as to every person who attends. I have only been to one so far, but I came away from it with much invigorated jazz energy. I was very pleased to meet each musician at the jam I attended. Positive environment encouraging all to interact. I dig it! ”

“ This was my second SDJC meetup, and I certainly intend to continue my involvement -- friendly, supportive folks, and the opportunity to play tunes I enjoy, and to learn to play tunes that maybe I don't enjoy all that much, and have not learned to play because I don't enjoy them. Case in point -- Miles Davis's "So What," which I deem to be the second most boring composition ever, the first being an English folk-song named "Mattie Groves," which has only one chord. ”
