Hello Members,

As the SDJC continues to grow with more members and activities. I want to clarify some of the differences to the members.

Jam sessions are the places where members get together and go through songs and improvise in a group setting generally at a members home or office space.

Clinics are for improving your skills and have a prepared schedule of material for the clinic. They will include going over material when attending which includes playing generally at a members home or office space.

Performances are gigs that a member or members of the SDJC wish to promote on the SDJC website. These are not sit in sessions. Generally at a private or public venue.

Performance Jams are in the style of an open mike format. A house band backs up the individual performer as they perform generally 2 songs each.

I hope this helps clarify some of the individual types of meetups that we now have on a regular basis.
