RE: [San-Diego-Jazz-Collective] Performance Jam venue

This is a meetup not a gig. For those members that have attended the Bayside performance jams and the Turquoise gigs last year, you know how it works. The SDJC has had many members obtain working, paying gigs due to the relationships they have made while attending the SDJC meetups. The Performance gigs are a great way get in front of an audience and gain experience and meet fellow musicians.

BTW, I see that Stan Lawrence has asked whether or not the house band would
be paid. My intent would be to do this for the fun of it, but I would defer
to any guitarist who might need to do it for money.

All Members,

I have been speaking with a restaurant owner in the Claremont area regarding
an Open mike style performance jam like the ones we had at the Bayside
Community Center. This venue is available on either Tuesday nights or Sunday
nights or possibly both beginning at 6:00 pm. The owner would also be
supplying happy hour pricing.

Before I commit to this I am trying to find out how many of our members
would be available on those days and who would be willing and available,
particularly, to be part of the House Band that would be necessary for this
type of session. (Bass, Drums, Keys, Guitar.)

Please let me know if this is something that you would be interested in
participating in and available for by emailing me or replying in the
discussion forum.

Thank You,

Daniel
