"Run for the Border"

This run is one of the most interesting to me since it runs right along the international border.  The run takes through Jamul and into the Otay Mountain Wilderness Area. From there I will lead the group south towards the border and then we will head east along the actual border fence and back towards Tecate. We will see bunkers and several jeep trails through the peaks and valleys of the wilderness area.  As alwaays pack a lunch :) I will post some pics from my last run to this area to give you a glimpse of what to expect.  No modifications are needed for this run even though it will be off pavement. There will be a few areas for the use of LOW 4X4 too.  This run is Highly recommended :)

5 more days till we tour the borderline! I've done this run several times and it never gets old. Just so everyone knows there's only a 20 minute straggler time so the group will be departing Starbucks at 1020AM...

From there we will be heading out Highway 94 towards Jamul and eventually to the small town of Dulzura. We will be taking Marron Valley Road south along the US/MEX border. From there we will explore the Otay Wilderness Area checking out bunkers, mystic rock formations and majestic ocean views!

We will finish the run with a drive by of the skydiving landing zone near Otay lakes.

As usual I would suggest everyone pack a lunch. If you have any questions or comments please post them here.
