About The San Diego Kayaking Meetup Group

The San Diego Kayaking Meetup is a group of people getting together to share the fun of paddling. We are not a professional organization or even part of one, but an opportunity to get together with other kayakers using this website. Paddling with a group is not only more fun, but it is safer than paddling alone. Other kayakers may be able to help you stay out of trouble. But over all, please be aware that you are responsible for your own safety. Also we may try to help you with your skills, but please understand that we are not proffesionals. If you would like to advance your skills it's best to take lessons from professionals. There are a few places you can go, but my personal recomendation is Aqua Adventures. The instructors there have been trained by the best ( Jenn Kleck has the highest BCU certification in the U.S.). Some of our events require different skill levels.
