South Bay Paddle Tour - 15 miles

Lets meet at Grand Caribe Shoreline Park located behind the Coronado Cays community located on the Silver Strand and launch at 7:00 AM. We will paddle to J Street Marina boat ramp in Chula Vista and meet up with another group launching at 7:30 AM. This section of the paddle will be 1.67 miles.

Leg 2 will be from J Street Marina to Pepper Park Marina paddling through the Chula Vista Nature Reserve. This leg will be 3.35 miles. We will take a short break at Pepper Park if anyone needs to.

Leg 3 will be from Pepper Park to Tidelands Park located on Coronado Island next to the Coronado Bridge. We will land on the beach and take a short break or bathroom break if needed. This leg is 5.25 miles.

Leg 4 will be from Tidelands Park back to Grand Caribe Shoreline Park. This leg will be 5.20 miles.

The other group of paddlers that started at J Street will continue onto J Street where they started. This leg will be 1.67 miles.

If you prefer starting at J Street Marina that is no problem, just be there at the boat ramp and ready to launch at 7:30 and the people starting at Grand Caribe will see you at 7:30.

Total mileage for all legs is about 15 miles, if this is too much for anyone feel free to come and join us for any of the sections and you can quit anytime you want as long as you are comfortable returning to your launch spot on your own.

Hey Gregs, I'm ready to go now. Just rigged up my extra paddle on my kayak, in case one of you get stuck in the mud and break your paddle. See ya in the morning! Sleep well.

Related to the one below U think a SoBaCM would be to include the salt ponds too. And looks like it would be about 20 miles + or - it could look a little like this one which is about 18 miles.

It might look a little like this. I think we should do it, later in the "season' when people have their paddling chops up.
