Paddle from Coronado to San Diego (NO RENTALS)

Let's meet to be on the water at 8:00 AM to paddle over to San Diego and tour around the Midway and Maritime Museums.

We could do one of two trips, one would cross directly over to the SD side of the bay and after touring around the two museums we would come back, that one would be about 5 miles. The other possibility would be to stay on the Coronado side and head kind of west, then we cross over to Shelter Island and into Americas Cup Harbor, where we'll have breakfast at Mitch's Seafood. After breakfast we'll head over to Harbor Island and then to the Museums. After the Museums we'll head back to Coronado. This paddle will be about 10 miles. We'll decide which to do after we all get there.

You must have your own Kayak and gear to do this paddle.

Jim, all, thanks for a great paddle. It was a great view from the water. I 'm not even sore today, so I guess I did ok.

I looked but about the only way to do it would be to load them in a picture editor then make sure they're right side up and re-upload them.

I am looking at finally attending your paddle, I was wondering how easy it is to get your kayak in and out of the ferry landing area? Is there near-by parking?

I'm going to come, I have a white Murano, blue Kayak.

Hi Janet, If you click on the location at the top of the page it will sow you a map of the ferry landing and where we put in there. You can zoom in pretty close, it'll give you a pretty good idea.

My vote is for the shorter 5 mile trip, because of all the boat traffic choppy water in the bay these busy summer days.

      P.S. I didn't know you got a vote. :)

I'm the father-in-law. Eric and I will just have to work harder to keep up with the sleeker yaks. Good exercise.

Feel free to ditch our slow butts, but my father in-law and I are in!
