La Jolla Cove paddle

Let's meet to be on the water by 8:00 AM so far the waves look to be pretty small but they're still coming in pretty fast, every 5 to 8 seconds.

We'll paddle out along the cliffs then either south a little or north a little depending on conditions and what folks feel like doing.

Probably this should not be your first surf launch, and we tend to paddle a little fast for most SOTs unless you're pretty strong. You are responsible for your own safety. Bring water and wear a PFD.

More waves and wind than I prefer, but the ocean was beautiful and paddling was fun. . . until getting dumped in the surf!

    Thanks everyone...er...Cathy for showing up>

Not the most pleasant paddle small high frequency swell with some cross wind chop but hey I didn't go swimming until the landing and with a drysuit it just kind of cooled me down a little. I actually did the high brace while coming in sideways for a little while...

    Good company though!
