Join 21 travelers at: Walking Croatia, Slovenia & the Dolomites with Gary Scott

What would it be like to spend days walking through the mountains and villages of Eastern Europe, mingling with the locals instead of looking through a train or bus window?

Gary Scott learned about travel from his diplomat parents and left his native Australia for Katmandu, Nepal, when he was 24. He jokes that, " He's still on that trip!" Join us to discover why this Mt. Everest climber keeps hiking and about the small, adventurous groups he's been leading for 30 years.

Come hungry! We'll be meeting in the large downstairs room at Boomerangs. The burger menu options are extensive as are their beer selections.

Parking: There is a lot adjacent to the restaurant and after 6pm, any "Lenscrafter Only" spaces are available for our group as well.

This is being cross-promoted with the Travel Well and 'Career Breaks and Long Term Travel' meetups.

Suggested, optional, $5 Donation will help keep our group going and a portion is being donated to Traveling Stories, the San Diego non-profit "working to outsmart poverty" here and internationally.

This sounds like a wonderful seminar! It seems many of our members are requesting these more in the North County area.

Thanks for the request. I'll keep working on finding free meeting rooms in the North County area. Suggestions are always welcome. In the meantime, these are either near UTC or Mission Valley, which pulls in the most travelers.
