Daley Ranch in the city of Escondido, covers more than 3000 acres of historical ranch lands, and undisturbed native habitats that are the precious remnants of the unique flora and fauna that once covered Southern California's Peninsular Range and much of the rest of the state.
We will be heading in from the Cougar Ridge TH not the La Honda TH so look at the map. This is a quieter side I think and a little more dog friendly.
It will be about 5 miles but does have a few hills to climb, I don't hike fast and am a firm believer in taking breaks to breath.
bring water, sunblock, snacks, potty bags.
