Fiesta Island ditch day with our dogs

We will meet at Fiesta Island Dog Park at 4:00 p.m. The dogs will be able to walk freely inside a gated area or play in the water depending on the weather. This will become a regular Thursday afternoon event (most Thursdays). RAIN CANCELS

I'm cross posting this with my Southern California Camping & Hiking Cooperative Meetup.

Meet:  I will meet you inside the gate of Fiesta Island Dog Park facing the dirt parking lot. When you get into Fiesta Island zero your odometer.  The parking lot and gate is on the right 1.4 miles after you get on the island.  The lot has a large chain link fence. That is the dog park. Most likely you will see dogs in the parking lot too. If you get out of Fiesta Island you went too far. A quick potty break for people is located .6 miles on the left, then 1.4 miles is the dog park gate, on the way out at 1.5 miles is another potty break for people on the left, and 2.6 miles right at the fork gets you back off the island.

Afterwards: I'm leading a kayaking trip on Mission Bay starting at 6:30 p.m. followed by a bonfire around 8:00 p.m. and everyone brings snacks. You are welcome to join for the kayaking (kayak & gear not supplied, you must bring your own) or just the bonfire if you wish. If coming to the bonfire part of the event, please bring a flashlight, LEASH, some firewood, and a beach or camping chair. I will post this event separately.

***DOGS ARE WELCOME ON THE PADDLE!***

Except poor Melanie who lost her dogs, everything went well. Beautiful, big full moon rising at dusk. Wish I had brought'n my camera.

I found Carly and Emma, they had run in the opposite direction all the way to the end past the campers - I received a call from a good samaritan who got the number off of Emma's tag. Thanks so much to everyone for helping pass the word and keeping an eye out for them. I hope you enjoyed the outing; looks like we won't be back there any time soon...

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
