This is for you Kosta, but anyone else having these types of problems with their dogs may want to check it out. Here are a couple of Vet and Surgeon recommendations posted on another Meet Up website:

SURGEON:
Contact Dr. Eaton at Sunny Mead Animal Hospital. She and her partner are Chief Surgeons and most show breeders go to them. They do NOT over charge. Infact they did a knee surgery on a friends dog for aproximately $400. her vet wanted $2500.

These vets do this daily and people travel from other states to see them.

Please have them (your friend) see them 1st. They are about 25 minutes North of Fallbrook and worth every penny. Their office visit is $18. Here is their web site below - you must click on the link, if you just enter myvetonline.com, it won't provide you with this surgeon specialist.

Holistic Health Vet:
There is an awesome vet near Sea World in San Diego. He doesn't do surgery or anything like that, but he is really super for acupuncture, chiropractor, and all aspects of holistic health. He is Dr. Keith Weingardt at www.animalhealingcenter.net He really helped us a lot when Ranger was diagnosed with Cancer and with his arthritis.

I have not had problems with Bear yet, but it's always comforting to know of good Vets and Surgeons.

Wyatt's Orthopedic surgeon was awesome! It was Dr. Tim Lenahan of Veterinary Surgical Speicalists in Kearny Mesa, he also has a partner that is supposed to be very good

One of my vets diagnosed Okie with hip displaysia when he was under 6 months old. I researched vets here in the US, but couldn't afford surgery at the time. A co-worker at the time recommended a TJ ortho surgeon (who was friends with her aunt, an MD). His prices were 1/3 of the US, and his facilities were very clean and modern. I eventually decided (from talking to him and from my observations) against the surgery. Glad I did as Okie at 9+ has a bit of a bunny hop when running, but is doing just fine. But if anyone ever wants to consult him, I can sort through my box of medical records to find his number. He speaks english, but if you don't feel comfortable going to TJ, I'd be happy (schedule permitting) to go with.
