The mission of the San Diego Philosophy Forum is to make living academic philosophy accessible to a diverse off-campus audience.

This group, partly sponsored by the library, plans to gather every fourth Tuesday, (summer and holidays excepted), to hear Professors from local philosophy programs present their work, in a casual, friendly environment. We differ from the other philosophy groups around, in that we listen to academic lectures, usually by a full professor, as opposed to mainly discussing topics ourselves. There is, however, a lively Q&A period after for those so inclined.

These casual dinner-friendly events, free of charge and open to all with interest and the patience to listen, will take place from 6:30-8:00 PM, at the North university (UTC) Public Library, 8820 Judicial Drive, (just northwest of the 805 Nobel Exit. Take-In food is allowed and light refreshments available.  Additional information is posted, as available, to SDPhil.org.
