This group is designed for professional animal lovers in the positive, "green" and non-aversive, pet care services and products businesses.

If you put animal welfare at the top of your agenda AND demonstrate that through your business, practice or group, please apply to join us!

We trust that our mission is in line with yours. New admissions into our group, and retention of continuing membership will be limited to those individuals and businesses that:

These promotional tools used by your organization will serve as criterion-checking mechanisms in order to establish eligibility and insure the integrity of our group:

We network, offer presentations, educate per our member specialties, engage in social and other media, and share tips, as well as discuss how to meet challenges experienced in our respective fields.

We may plan events. Meetups are held in restaurants, coffee shops, parks, pet stores, veterinary offices, private homes or at yappy hours.

Memberships may be limited. Our members include:

•  Integrative and holistic care veterinarians
•  Rescues group Directors and Representatives
•  Meetup Organizers and Co-organizers
•  Animal shelter management and employees
•  Pet store owners who do not sell shock, prong or choke collars, nor who employ trainers who use   aversive/correction/"balanced"/"all" methods trainers/citronella sprays/or can-shaking
•  Gentle groomers
•  Natural dog food manufacturers and distributors
•  Positive-method dog-friendly media
•  100% non-aversive dog trainers
•  Veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants
•  Pet photographers
•  Pet web designers
•  T-touch practitioners
•  Pet therapists, pet acupressure specialists and
•  Any others we may have overlooked!

* Note: Memberships in specific service, group, store or product categories may be density or otherwise limited.

Our members come from throughout San Diego County, however our Meetups are focused in the north coastal towns from La Jolla to Carlsbad.

* If approved, you will be asked to list San Diego Positive Pet Professionals as a link on the Resources/Link page of your website.

Hard-sell marketing practices between members are strongly discouraged.

If our new membership criterion above no longer fits your service/product model, please voluntarily drop your membership. If you no longer fit our new mission, you may be removed from the list. Thank you for supporting the previous, more inclusive, business model.
