Great time out yesterday everyone! Here is the thesis paper I mentioned: http://sdsu-dspace.calstate.edu...

Also, here is a great reference for San Diego for finding plants or identifying property lines:

Gina- Check out the above URL for the paper that talks about the 47 primary plants used by the Indians. Peterson's guide is the other plant book.

I apologize to all of you I did not get get a chance to join this morning for the Forage Wild Edibles & Medicinals Meet-Up this morning. I arrived an hour and a half late due to family members not being ready on time.
We, my daughter (my +1), My brother and his two boys ended up hiking one of the trails instead.

I was looking forward, to not only joining this event, but also meeting all of you who attended. I feel really bad about RSVPing and not showing up on time.
The next event, I will make sure to attend no matter what :0)

    Again, I sincerely apologize :0(

Hello Jeromie, it's Charlie. Sorry for leaving the group, my mother thought she would be able to keep up and was not able to plus the lite heat plays on her health. I will do your next class on this myself, thanks again.

Jeremy, glad I found your group. I love to be with others interested in living off the land and learning about nature. I learned new info and had fun. I look forward to the next class. I like the idea of cards with the plant info and pictures on them. In the future I would like to learn to use a signal mirror, a compass and do some fishing.

I'm Bringing my daughter (My +1 guest) who has more experience hiking than I do ha ha I just spoke to my My brother, and he might attend with his boys. I hope that's okay. I didn't want to mark my brother and his 2 boys as a definite on the RSVP. Hope it's still okay.

Absolutely looking forward to tomorrow's hike. My daughter and I just finished making a few edibles for the trip. Please remember to bring appropriate attire, water, etc. I expect the hike to be light and about[masked] miles in total. See you all then!

Glad you had a good time. It definitely was a hit. I'm pretty certain the edibles/medicinal classes will be as well. A great skill to have under the belt and a way to feel closer to nature.
