Wild Edibles & Medicinals Hike

It's springtime- have you seen the abundance of food growing out there in the wild?  We'll get out there for about a 2.5 mile hike through the park.  There are so many awesome plants out there to use for everything from food, to medicine, to creating rope & tools.  We'll cover trees, shrubs, & the local "weeds" that have cropped up all over the place.

Here's just a few that I foraged for Easter this year.  Mugwort, fennel, yucca flowers, miners lettuce and white sage.

Hike was very informative. I took lots of pictures and notes. I need to follow up with reading So Cal planrs and do more outdoor hikes to identify plants.

Looks like we'll have a good little crew for the hike! Please remember to bring water, good hiking shoes, and anything else you'll need on the trip. It will be a different area from last walk. Meet on the back patio of the visitor's center and we'll take off from there. You can reach me at[masked]
