San Diego Scala Users May Meetup

Member Jean-Laurent(@huynhjl) will present on Iteratees in Scala.

Iteratees are composeable enumeration-based input processors. The iteratee is inspired by the foldLeft function where an operation is applied to a collection with a start value going from left to right. The iteratee is similar but the it can operate on streams of data. The iteratee maintains the state of the computation for the stream that it is operating on which can provide some unique composition approaches to stream processing and IO not found in cursor based approaches.

In LA again. Given today's schedule, I doubt I'm going to make it at all. :(
