At the September Meetup we can discuss the week one content and assignments for the Coursera course Functional Programming Principles in Scala which begins September 18th. This course covers the essentials of Functional Programming using Scala. The course lectures are given by Martin Odersky who is the creator of the Scala language. Week one is titled Programming Paradigms which gives an overview of Functional Programming and the Scala programming language.
There are at least a few members signed up for the class. If you're interested in learning more about Scala, Functional Programming, or checking out our meetup this would be a good opportunity. Sign up for the class and RSVP for the meetup.
We can also discuss future meetups to follow along with the course content.
