Functional Programming Principles in Scala - Weeks Two to Four

This will be the first of two meetups in October to discuss the lectures and assignments from Coursera's Functional Programming Principles in Scala course. This meetup will cover material from weeks two to four. Week two will cover defining and using functions, recursion and non-termination, working with functions as values, and reasoning by reduction. Week three will cover defining and using immutable objects, review of inheritance and dynamic binding. Lastly, week three will cover working with collections. Some material from week four may overlap with the next meetup.

We can select the topics or assignments that attendees are most interested in or have questions about.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
