San Diego residents who practice stoicism as a life philosophy or try to do so.
People who want to get together and share their experiences, broaden their horizon about Stoicism by meeting fellow stoics and meet like-minded people.

A formal education in psychology and philosophy is not required for members to join this group. I don't have that myself.

My knowledge about Stoicism comes primarily from the following written sources:
- A Guide to the Good Life {the ancient art of stoic joy} by William B. Irvine
- Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
- Epictetus - A Stoic and Socratic Guide to Life by A. A. Long

Since I started this group discussing stoicism with attendees has broadened my horizon significantly beyond what I've learned from books and it strenghtened my confidence in it as a practical life philosophy that even works in modern Southern California.
