The Stoic Wanderers

DESCRIPTION:

For quite some time I wanted to go on a hike with fellow Stoics and such that are interested in it.

We'll be hiking Tecolote Canyon. The difficulty of the hike will be somewhere between Easy and Moderate, but more on the Easy side. Expect uneven terrain and perhaps some light climbing, not higher than 4 feet.

The Canyon for the most part goes through suburban Clairemont, but if you bring your dog, be aware there are coyotes and rattlesnakes, even though it is highly unlikely we will encounter any of those.

Bring along any questions you have about philosophy in general, Stoicism, Marc Aurel, Seneca, Epictetus... with some food, water and if you like a towel for a picnic at our point of return.

There is parking directly at the trail head into Tecolote Canyon on Boyd/Acworth Ave.

MEETUP TIME:

10 am

WHAT TO BRING:

Comfortable hiking or good sport shoes.

Water

Food for picnic

Towel

Camera/Cell for pictures

There is some poison ivy there, though not very active. In case you are concerned you might want to wear long pants.
