We are a small group of committed Jewish study partners who meet in Pacific Beach once a week (Sunday 5 p.m. ) to read in English, the entire weekly portion. We provide a supportive environment in which participants can raise questions, struggle, and search for meaning relevant to today's life or just be compassionate listeners. The group is facilitated, but not led. We wish to empower one another to hear our ancient stories in a way that feels personal, unique and useful to their own spiritual path.

Dear Friends,

PLEASE arrive by 5 p.m. SHARP as it is disruptive to have people entering once we begin reading. Parking can be challenging at the beach, so, consider coming early, grabbing a spot, then going for a brief contempletive walk.

You can find the weekly portion online in a variety of places. One is the Chabad website (www.chabad.org). Select the 'Parshah' button. Read more

“I'm looking for liberal people to study Torah with. I was raised Reform, but lean more towards Reconstructionist these days. I'm looking forward to seeing if this is the right group for me. Thanks to all who helped in getting it started!”
