Our book for the month of September will be "Wool Omnibus" by Hugh Howey. This is another 'end of the world' work of fiction, but it is not another "One Second After". (I swear, no more 'end of the world' fiction for a few months.) Read a few of the customer reviews. I couldn't resist giving the book a try after reading the reviews. Please join us for what should be an interesting discussion. A brief description of the book follows.
This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside.
