Jane and I went to the 4:30 performance. Nice introduction for those who are not that familiar with opera. Brief, informative, fabulous singers and the conductor was very amusing.

Yes, Jerry, I did, thanks again. Looked for you, couldn't find you. It was great, and the Conductor Grant Gerson was even greater and so charming ;-)

Hmmm - I seem to have gotten a ticket for 3:00 this afternoon, I guess I'll find out when I get to the theater... Perhaps I'll hang out and see the second show as well??? Having worked with LA Opera since 1986 I know most of these folks.

This is my first event at this venue so I'll probably be there around 2:15 to get my ticket and hope to meet up with our fellow members. Any thoughts about where would be a good place to meet?

Christopher, I would call the LA Opera number on the Event page above or the Valley Performing Arts Center Box office to see if there are still tickets left. They recommended to get tickets ahead of time. A member contacted me and said she could only get tickets for the 4 pm show. Call and find out if this is true. You can arrange a meeting point at the front entrance of the performing arts center, campus side (there are two entrances)

I LOVE opera. I used to produce opera parties called Opera Encores featuring live entertainment in a private home.
