The details of the previously announced Loch Lomond Recreation hike are now posted at the Meetup group website....
Loch Lomond has been described as a “jewel set in the Santa Cruz Mountains” with its lake that some consider one of the prettiest in the Bay Area. Our route will include segments along the lovely lake and ridgetop views earned after a little bit of a workout.
With a hike length of about 6.5 miles and 1000 feet of elevation gain, our hike will be at the easier end of our usual intermediate level. Please consider your physical condition and make sure you are able to handle an intermediate-level hike. *More details are listed at the website.*
NOTE: Carpool options:
1. You can meet to carpool at our usual carpool point in Palo Alto at the California Avenue Caltrain station.
2. I have established a carpool point in Los Gatos. The hike organizer will make sure the carpool he is in leaving the Palo Alto carpool point will make a stop at this carpool point, and he will help arrange the carpools from Los Gatos upon his arrival.
* As usual, carpools departing from the carpool points are not generally prearranged and are formed at the carpool location on the morning of the hike. So you can just show up and take it from there!
It would be great if folks in other parts of the Bay Area would self-organize carpools from those areas as well!
Note there is an optional dinner at the Boulder Creek Brewing Company after the hike.
I hope you can join us....
