We mainly explore the San Francisco Bay Area’s many hiking trails on intermediate-level hikes (7-10 miles length and 1000-3000 feet elevation gain), but we occasionally partake of other types of outings such as free summer concerts at Stern Grove or classic movies at The Stanford Theater.
Most of our hikes are in the traditional heart of the greater SF Bay Area spanning the area between Mount Tamalpais in the north to Santa Cruz in the south. However, we do lead hikes as far north as Point Reyes and as far south as Big Sur during summer months. Our hikes are held every two weeks on either Saturday or Sunday.
I have been leading well-attended hikes for over 15-years, for over 7-years with this Meetup group and prior to that through the Stanford Outing Club. I ask for a voluntary donation (suggested amounts are listed) at the end of each hike to help keep this group going.
Let’s go out and enjoy the many wonderful hikes & other outings in the Bay Area!
