Dog hike at Lake Chabot, Castro Valley

2B Hike. Come join us for about a 7 mile hike at Lake Chabot, a man-made lake built in the late 1800's. This is a dog friendly hike, leash required in some areas by the lake. There's one big hill at the beginning of the hike and the rest of the hike are rolling hills. Bring lunch, plenty of water and wear layers. Rain cancels hike.

Meet at Willow Park Golf Course in the rear of the parking lot near the trail head at 10:30 a.m. for a 10:45 a.m. departure.

... Hwy 580 from Oakland, take Redwood Exit. Go about 2 miles course on left after you pass through the residential area
...Hwy 880 from Oak or San Jose, take A Street exit in Hayward. A Street becomes Redwood after about a mile or so, than drive approx. 2 miles...left side of road
...from San Mateo Bridge, take 880 north towards Oakland, exit on A Street and follow directions above
