Evening Hike at Mori Point

Celebrate the longer days of spring with this evening hike at Mori Point in Pacifica. This easy 3-mile hike has it all--northern coastal scrub, California coastal prairie, with song birds, hawks, kestrels, sea birds, shore birds, the endangered red-legged frog, the San Francisco Garter snake, dramatic views and much, much more. See how volunteers have transformed this long threatened wetland. It’s about 12 miles south of San Francisco.

Meeting spot: Gather at 6:15 by the parking lot at the southern end of Beach Rd. where it meets Clarendon Rd. and Sharp Park.  NOT AT THE PACIFICA PIER.

Carpool: Please RSVP if you plan to carpool. We will meet at the Glen Park BART Station on Bosworth Street near the newspaper racks at 5:45. We will leave from the BART station at 6:00 sharp and carpool to Pacifica.

Level: Easy (mini hike)

Signup Restrictions: Friendly, well-behaved dogs are permitted, provided they remain on a short, non-retractable leash, do not get underfoot, nor jump on other dogs or people.

Bring: Bring a wind-resistant coat and binoculars.

Cancellation: Any rain cancels
