Maybe I was in the was in the wrong building but at 4:30 pm I came at the end of a 2 day seminar on marketing that ended at 5:30. They had some good ideas that vaguely talked about the sharable content but it was not what was advertised. This had little or nothing to do with real journalism.

That's a good point, Edward. This was less about how journalists capture a real news story and more to do with how you can get something to go viral or generate a spike in Web traffic by featuring content that is quirky, weird, or just plain different. I don't think NPR's Scott Simon's tweeting about his mother's passing would be considered "hard news." But it got him and NPR TONS of publicity.

Good feeback guys. We're working at it, and weren't specific enough in the description or focus of questions.

The 49er panel was great. Thanks! The main panel spent too much time getting started and not enough time on helpful tips and best practices.

Sorry I missed this, since there's an SF Blog club meeting on the 1st, and I was thinking this was the same event. I hope to come to the next one.

As I understand it, Bleacher Report is on at 4:30; reception 5 pm; and the journalists' panel starts around 6:15 pm. Can someone confirm or correct this schedule? Thx!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
